A Home Cinema Worthy of the Film

Reference picture, immersive sound and one-touch control, designed and installed for Los Angeles residences.

A home cinema is a theater or media room built around film, for homeowners who want the full experience of the cinema without leaving home. In a home theater installation, picture, sound, acoustics, seating and light are planned together, and the technology disappears the moment the lights go down.

Home theater installation that composes picture, sound and light as one.

Video Projection

Ultra-high-definition projection with deep blacks and rich, accurate color. Motorized screens and concealed projectors let the room itself become part of the picture, and step out of sight when the film ends.

Video Walls

Large-format displays and video walls for rooms where light cannot be controlled, or where a screen should be seamless architecture. Vivid, bright and sized to the wall, they carry sport and film in a multi-purpose space.

Surround Sound

Sound that places you inside the scene. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X systems fill every seat with clear, effortless sound, while the speakers disappear into the architecture and the room's acoustics are designed alongside them.

Professional Calibration

Every cinema is tuned to its room. We calibrate picture and sound to reference standards, so what you see and hear is what the filmmaker intended, and one touch brings the whole room to life, with lights, shades and screen answering the same preset.

One touch, and the room is ready.

  1. A dark cinema room, its screen showing misty mountains

    Movie Night

One preset dims the lights, lowers the screen and wakes the room in calibrated Dolby Atmos.

  2. A media room with a large screen and deep sofas

    The Big Game

Every seat gets room-filling sound and a vivid, large-format picture.

  3. A home cinema with a wide screen and a view into the garden

    Family Matinee

Motorized shades close and ambient light settles on its own, with no remotes to find.

  4. A cinema room with a starlit ceiling and tiered recliners

    Late Night

One touch ends the evening: the screen rises and the lights return, as easily as it began.

How we work
  1. Homeowners and a designer reviewing material samples at a kitchen table

    Understand

We begin with how you live, and what should simply disappear.

  2. A white architectural model of a house in a design studio

    Design

Planned around the architecture, in step with your architect and designer.

  3. A site lead reviewing drawings beside a pool

    Integrate

Installed, connected and programmed with precision and minimal visual impact.

  4. A finished residence glowing at dusk at the end of a palm-lined drive

    Deliver

Every scene commissioned, a personal walkthrough, then concierge care.

How it works with the rest of the home.

Every system in the home is designed with the others in mind. These are a few of the everyday moments where they meet.

Game day

The game fills the private cinema, while the same broadcast plays in the kitchen and on the screen by the pool. Every room and every source answers to one simple interface.

Movie night

One preset transforms the room: the lights dim, the shades close, the screen descends and the sound comes alive. When the credits roll, one touch brings the room back.

Does a home cinema installation need a dedicated room?

Not necessarily. We design dedicated home cinemas and media rooms that share their space with everyday life, with picture, sound, acoustics, seating and light planned together in both. As a rule, projection suits a room where light can be controlled, while a large-format display copes better with a bright, multi-purpose space. Motorized screens and concealed projectors let the cinema step out of sight when it is not in use.

We are building or renovating. How do you work with our architect and designer?

From the beginning, ideally. We collaborate with your architect, interior designer and builder so the cinema is designed into the architectural plan rather than added after the fact. Every speaker, keypad and panel is placed to support the design, never to compete with it, and rough-in and trim are scheduled in step with the rest of the site.

How is the cinema controlled?

With one touch. A single preset dims the lights, closes the shades, lowers the screen and wakes the system, and everything answers to a touch panel, your voice or one app. The cinema can run on the same Savant, Crestron or Control4 system as the rest of the home, so the whole residence answers to one interface.

Who looks after the cinema once it is finished?

We do. At handover we commission every scene, walk you through the room and leave complete documentation, and our concierge team then stays on to care for it. A Technology Support Membership adds 24/7 support and priority service, and many requests are resolved remotely, without waiting for a visit.
